Christmas!!!

I love Christmas!!! We've had a really quiet Christmas this year, with just the 4 of us. Wow, it has been weird. We still had a good time and I finally got....drum roll please.....MY UGGS!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been wanting these things for like a year and a half. They make me EXTREMELY happy! I also got a sweater, some earrings, a sweatshirt, a cd and a bunch of other fun stuff. Tanner got, believe it or not, a paninni maker, and he LOVES it. He spent all afternoon thinking up new ways to make a paninni. So weird. My dad got an indestructible phone and my mom bought herself a Mickey Village. :) Then we went to Marilyn's for an intense round of bingo. So, good time had all around! Merry Christmas everyone!

Natural Helpers Retreat

This year I got into Natural Helpers, a program that lets students and teachers vote in people they trust and can talk to. We had a retreat at pine creak yesterday and today. The point of it is to educate natural helpers on how to help people with their problems. It is also a blast! My camera is being dumb and taking really blurry pictures, but be sure to watch the video at the end!

A random picture of Megan!
Ashli Rose
We were supposed to bring something that represented us, so I brought my old tap shoe. This is my little friend Frankie trying them out. Sorry about the video, the end is a little nauseating.

So much for growing it out.

Yeah, I've been growing my hair out since the 5th grade, and then one day I got a whim and chopped it all off. Just like that. It is cute, but it is short! What do you think?

The numbers don't lie...

72.7 million first day....breaking the 67.2 million record held by the Dark Knight....26.3 million from midnight showings...I don't care who you are. This is a dang GOOD movie. Some of you may be biased, but you know deep down that nothing beats this. :) I will admit, the first one was kind of lame. But this movie was the best thing ever. SERIOUSLY. There you have it. :)

My life....

Gee, life doesn't stop being crazy when school starts!! I have been running around like crazy and I am tired! Not that I really mind it, i like having stuff to do! School has been good, so far not too much homework and I like my teachers. For the most part... I started doing cross-country this year and even though I am awful at it, I like it! Yes, mom, I am glad you forced me to do it at first. =) Anyway, I don't really have much to post about for now, but there is my update. Oh, something that happened, just a side not, doesn't really matter much... I GOT MY BRACES OFF!!! now THAT is something worth celebrating! i had a picture for ya'll, but i can only get to it from my mom's computer, and she just left for CA tonight. Ugh, she gets to go see those babies! :)

Adventures in crazyland...

Whew! These last couple of weeks have been total madness. But we had fun doing it! Amy and kids got to Mimi's house 2 weeks ago. Then, I went to girls camp with Mimi's ward (and had a BLAST by the way). By the time I got home Chad, Amy, and babies were there to play! We have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off ever since. Now things have quieted down some, but Patrick and Kennedy are still here while there mommy goes home to pack. In the midst of the madness, we have all taken a turn with a cold-like bug. Anywho, there was still some fun had, and here are a few pictures. Sorry, another long post!

These were Patrick and Emily's FAVORITES. Nana bought some disney costumes, and all the wanted to do was dress up. Shown here:Buzz Lightyear and Tinkerbell.

Oh, just Annie being precious..it's nothing new! :)

Cute kids at the fair. They loved going to see the animals, eating doughnuts, and the highlight: the rodeo.

It's not a very good picture, but I thought all of them in their jammies was cute.
Oh wait, more cuteness! I just adore her!
She makes a pretty cute cowgirl, don't ya think?

Levi is a big hit with the kids, because he doesstuff like standing on teeter totters.=)

Patrick and Emily helping Chad blow out the candles..

Buying ice-cream with money from their own wallets was one of Nana's strange ideas, but they liked it.

The kids being cute with Mimi.

Randomness...

...is my favorite!! So here is probably my most random post yet. What can I say, my life is random! Ella being adorable and going to town on a Mickey ice-cream bar. How cute is she!!!

Wow, this picture is a little weird..oh well More of Ella being cute...I just love her! Kay very random, but isn't this cool? When we were wandering in the tents at Huntington Beach today with Elizabeth and Michal, and there was this guy who does name signs with fun backgrounds. He had everything from the JoBros to Cars to Cats, and he printed it right there for you. I thought it was really cool because I can never find things with my name, and it has dancers on it, so what more can you ask for?
Yeah, these are my awesome new school shoes that we bought today. I wasn't sure about the laces at first (they are HUGE) but now I am used to them and they are WAY cute on. Told you this was gonna be random!
ANNNNNND, my beautiful nail!!(Any of you seen Nail Salon by Anjelah Johnson?) I've been begging my mom for a while to let my get my nails done, but it is kind of expensive, and she wasn't budging. Well, yesterday Jessica came and got me to "run errands" with her, and instead we went to the nail salon for my birthday!!! She is the greatest! I was pretty stinking happy with them.

California craziness...

This last week has been a blast, but EXHAUSTING!! On Sunday, Lynne, Jeanna Herrgesell, Hantz and Ducky got here to my grandma's house. They stayed here for a week, and we went to Disneyland for 4 days. We were kind of tired. Okay, a LOT tired. But it was fun! Kay, ya'll ready for another long post? :)

Doesn't this picture look like it should be on a postcard? Jeanna took this with her sunglass lens in front of the camera.
This is all of us except for Lynne inside a phone booth. What can you do, really? :)
Cooking corn at the beach...

The whole bunch of us, minus Jeanna who was photo documenting. My mom being the planner..:) The boys were very whiny about pictures, but here is one of the few pretty good ones. Jeanna and Hantz at Mickey's house. Ducky was being a bum and wouldn't go for a picture. Oh well. Long story, but Jeanna was trying to look like Mickey. She made us laugh hysterically for most of the week. My Ella!!! We waited for the fireworks for like 3 hours, then they announced that the might be cancelled. The time they were supposed to happen came and went, and people started to give up and leave. But, what do you know, half an hour late, they still did the fireworks! Crisis averted, people. One more semi-good picture of the three of them.
Ohhhhhh, my Disneyland!!! This is the view from the top of the parking structure, which I think is pretty awesome.

HOORAY FOR NEW YORK!!!!!

Well, I’ve given up my day-to-day posts of our trip. I have a life, and I need to blog about that too! So, here are some of my favorite pictures of NY. There are just too many to post all of them. Sorry, this post has to be long, but please don’t let that keep you from commenting! Enjoy!
We got a little wet on the ferry. And almost everywhere else! The days we were in New York it rained almost constantly, but our Washington D.C. days were HOT as all get out.

This is our family. We adopted Ashli, you know.
The view from the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Eilis Island. We didn't get off at the Statue of Liberty, but we took pictures from the ferry. Eilis Island was amazing. I didn't think it was going to be that big of a deal, but it was WAY worth seeing.
You know you're in China Town when the Verizon Wireless ads are in Chinese!
Gotta have a picture of the hot dog stand, right?
Mary Poppins was one of the two Broadway plays we saw. Even though we saw it from the second row and it was a little neck tiring, it was awesome. If you ever get a chance to see a play like this, take it.
The group that went on the 3rd day in New York:Me, Ashli, Tanner, my mom, Marilyn's friend Eileen, and Official Tour Guide Marilyn.
One of my have-to's in New York. Who can leave that place feeling complete without sitting on a bench in Central Park? I mean really? :)
Another one of my have-to's was to ride on a subway. Whew, did I get that one! We rode a ton of subways, and I was happy. On our last day there, Tanner decided that one of his dreams was to get a picture like this, with the subway blurry behind him and him in focus. Weird kid.
When I heard everyone talking about "The Top of The Rock" I was VERY confused. That it how sheltered I am. I thought maybe we were going to a shore to stand on the top of a rock? I felt dumb when I found out it was the top of the Rockefeller Center. It was awesome, after I found out what it was!
